We met through a mutual friend, and after a thorough and impressive meet n’ greet over the phone, we knew it was a fit! My husband and I didn’t realize we were picky about our wedding photographer until the choice came down to it, and we couldn't be happier about picking Jenna McCarty Photography. Jenna and Andrew were fantastic throughout the entire process. They listened to our desires for our vision for our day. Jenna is very organized, prompt, and attentive to detail. During our wedding weekend, Jenna and Andrew went over and above by spending some time at our venue scouting it out for lighting so they were extra prepared the day of. Despite living in Chicago, she was able to amend her contract to include fairly priced travel plans and accommodations. She was professional, organized and prompt during phone conversations and other communication leading up to the wedding. After the wedding, we received our photographs faster than initially expected, along with multiple teaser photos right after our ceremony. For the photography itself - it’s stunning! She has beautiful photos in her portfolio, and brings those same talents to your wedding. She even scouted our venue in advance to make sure she knew the best spots and angles for great lighting! Her personality was a great match for us, as she coordinated the family portraits efficiently. Right after the ceremony, she was firm but sweet in getting family and friends lined up for portraits shots, and it was respectful of both our guests and the church’s time. During the rest of the day, it was stress free as she laughed along with us during getting ready shots, bridal party shoot, and evening. Lastly, she and her Andrew checked in throughout the reception to ensure we got all the photos we wanted. "I truly recommend Jenna McCarty Photography to anyone!! My husband and I loved everything about having them photograph our wedding, and Jenna exceeded my expectations through all steps of the process. Originally I chose Jenna because I thought her work was beautiful and she was much more affordable than other options, especially for having two photographers included. From our first meeting, she was incredibly personable, organized, thorough, and professional. In her communications throughout the whole process, she was impressively timely and organized in reaching out and responding to me. During our engagement session, we quickly found out how skilled Jenna was in her posing/set-up so that we were simply having fun and enjoying being together and came across looking very natural in the photos. In the months leading up to the wedding, Jenna checked in and offered assistance numerous times with planning for photos and our day-of timeline. When I was unsure of whether our venue had enough good spots to take photos, Jenna agreed to meet me at the venue to walk around and assess photo locations, which was SO nice of her and gave me peace of mind when she pointed out plenty of great spots. On the day of the wedding, Jenna and her husband/second photographer Andrew were as organized, professional, and talented as we had come to expect—we were especially impressed with our fun shots with our bridal party, their ability to organize our very large families for family pictures, and awesome candid shots during both the ceremony and reception. The day after the wedding Jenna already had several photos posted online, and then within a week she had a very fun blog post up with a lot more of our pictures. In less than four weeks they got us the rest of our photos, which we absolutely LOVE and will no doubt treasure for the rest of our lives! "Short review: Hire them, highly recommend, totally worth it. Slightly detailed: We were on a tight budget with the wedding and Jenna/Andrew were great working with us on it. The most impressive aspect of working with them is the constant communication. Quick email responses, skype calls and constant contact from their end. We had Andrew and Jeff photograph our wedding. They arrived on time, knew what to do, took great photos pre-ceremony and were always available for pictures. I never had to look far to find these guys if I wanted to grab a quick shot with our guests. They were always available. I even asked them to have dinner while we were seated and they held off on it so that they could make themselves available all the time. They took a lot of candid shots which we loved. Jenna was away for the summer but did all the edits. Again, constant communication on how long it would take for post-processing etc... Pictures turned out great and they took A LOT of shots.
